Ascender FL.X
Columbus XCr stainless steel
The Ascender is the bike that made Jaegher's name in stainless steel. Columbus XCr tubes, TIG-welded by hand, finished in your choice of 250+ colours. A road bike that rides like the best carbon, absorbs like the best steel, and outlasts them both. For riders who choose steel over carbon, deliberately.
Complete bike from €9.950
Jaegher's core road bike
The Ascender is Jaegher's core road bike, the model that made the brand's name in stainless steel. It's the frame that proves steel belongs in the same conversation as top-tier carbon.
Every Ascender is built from Columbus XCr tubes, selected for your weight and riding style. The geometry is designed from scratch, based on a bike fit at the atelier. No stock sizes. No compromises.
Ridden by Tom Boonen
Tom Boonen rides a Jaegher Ascender. Four Paris-Roubaix titles, three Tours of Flanders, world champion in 2005. At Bespoked 2023 in Dresden, the Ascender finished runner-up for best road bike, with third in both best finish and People's Choice, and Boonen's own bike was among those on display.
The rider's verdict
"Never before had I sat on a road bike that felt so perfect from the first pedal stroke."
Tom Boonen, 4× Paris-Roubaix, 3× Ronde Van Vlaanderen, World Champion 2005
No two are the same
Every Ascender is built from scratch for one rider. We start from your body, your position, and the way you ride, then design the geometry, select the tubes, and hand-weld a frame that exists only once. No stock sizes, no shared moulds.
From there it's yours to shape. Over 250 colour and finish combinations, and a component spec built around how and where you ride. The buildkits below are a starting point, not a menu you have to pick from. Everything is configurable.
Want different components or a frameset only? Everything is configurable. Discuss your preferences during the introduction call. Components may occasionally vary if a part is temporarily out of stock, any substitution is always discussed and agreed with you first.

Built to last, backed for years
A Jaegher is made to be ridden hard and kept for decades. Every frame carries a four-year warranty, and your first year includes two full services at no cost.
Every bike leaves the atelier with a pre-waxed Cyclowax chain. Spirit (FL.S) frames are internally treated against oxidation, stainless (FL.X) frames need no treatment at all.
And you are always welcome back at Het Arsenaal, for a small adjustment or simply a coffee.

Columbus XCr: stainless steel, perfected
XCr is a stainless steel alloy with chromium, nickel and molybdenum, drawn to wall thicknesses as thin as 0.3mm. It doesn't corrode and it doesn't fatigue the way aluminium does. The result is a frame that's stiff enough to sprint on, compliant enough for a 200 km day, and built to last decades.
