JAEGHER
HISTORY

Odiel was the first of a generation of cyclists with welding talent in his blood. Back in the day if you wanted to participate in Milan-San Remo, you had to bike to Milan first. Those are the times Odiel lived in. He won the toughest leg in the Tour of Belgium in 1932. That was the start of the Jaegher adventure. Odiel was a phenomenon.

EDDY MERCKX PICKING UP HIS FRAME WITH WHICH HE WON HIS MOST LEGENDARY RACES

EVERY JAEGHER HAS A STORY TO TELL
AND A RECORD TO BREAK

Eddy Merckx, the greatest of all, in the ateliers in West-Flanders picking up his famous road bike. His son, Etienne, also obsessed with bikes, started a café/bike shop in the 50s. Beer straight from the tap and bike frames straight from the back atelier, it doesn’t get more Belgian than that. Now Eddy is Jaegher’s master welder. He started welding road bikes

DID YOU KNOW

Jaegher ( Jager ) means hunter. Isn’t hunting exactly what we all love to do on our race cycles? Its pronunciation is the same as Yeager, a reference we like to the first man to break the sound barrier in a jet plane: iconic geometrical shapes to achieve record performances. All this is to say that Jaegher is about pushing the limits.

All our models are named after famous jets. We thought if there are brands out there on the other side of the world naming their cycles after our terroir Flanders, België or Belgium or after our cobbled road and bergs, why shouldn’t we name our cycles as jets.

OUR LOGO

Our logo in inspired on the shape of the famous handle bars which makes a race cycle a race cycle. Building race cycles is what we do. This is what makes our heart beat faster. It's our passion and our savoir-faire. It happened we made once a mountainbike. And yes, there was a client some years ago who wanted straight handle bars. But please, don't blame us for that. It was a weak moment.

A WORD ABOUT OUR LION

Some say brands should stay far away from politics. Well, we don't. Our race cycles are designed and build in the heart of cycling, Flanders. Of course we are proud on this. Your frame is made of top notch Italian tubes welded together in a timeless masterpiece in our local Ateliers. Besides that, the paintjob, the finishing and the assembling are also done in our Ateliers and Flanders. We are not just 'Designed in Flanders'. Your race cycle doesn't arrive here together with thousands of other race cycles in a container from China.

That's why we have a lion on our race cycles. It's the symbol of our region. A beautiful symbol that an extreme right partie took it for there communication and spoiled it.

We gave our lion wings. We want to keep our brand far away from a political party that exclude miniorities.
And those wings are a nice link to our fighters and Chuck who was the first to go through the wall of sound.

OUR LION AND HERITAGE

Jaegher is made in Flanders. It's a fact we're proud of. This region has delivered more world champions and famous riders per square kilometer than any other region in the world. We're also proud of our country: Belgium. This small nation has produced 27 gold medallists. Italy, which is 10 times bigger, is following with 19 gold medallists.
In the top 10 list of most successful riders, five come from Flanders.

The best of Belgium and Italy have come together in your frame: top notch cutting-edge Italian tubes are welded together into a timeless masterpiece in our local Ateliers in Flanders. Besides that, the paintjob, finishing, and assembling are also done here in our region — we are more than 'Designed in Flanders'. Your race cycle doesn't arrive here together with thousands of other mass production race cycles in a container from the other side of the world. it's made over here. No other cycling brand is more Belgian or Flemish than Jaegher.

Our lion is the symbol of our region. It's our quality label. And we gave it even wings. Because on a Jaegher you'll fly over our infamous cobble bergs.

THE STORY NEVER ENDS.
